Hello there! Thank you for visiting my page. I’m Dr. Nafees Mansoor, an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). As a highly accomplished researcher, Dr. Nafees Mansoor has made significant contributions to the field. With a Ph.D. from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), along with a BSc degree in Computer Science and an MSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB).
With over 12 years of experience in academia and industry, I have had the privilege of working with renowned national and international organizations. As a prolific researcher, I have received numerous awards, including best paper awards at prestigious conferences such as ICAICT 2016 (Bangladesh), RISP-NCCP 2015 (Malaysia), AUN/SEED-Net ICEEE 2014 (Malaysia), and MJJIS 2013 (Japan). I was also honored with the Best Research Proposal Award at the JACTIM Research Proposal Contest in 2012 (Malaysia). Moreover, I achieved Cum Laude status during my Bachelor of Science degree.
My research interests span Wireless Communications, Network Protocols & Standards, Blockchain, Pervasive Systems, and graph theory. I have contributed extensively to reputable journals and international conferences, disseminating my findings to the research community. Additionally, I actively participate in organizing and technical committees of international conferences. I take pride in my role as an associate editor of IEEE Access®, an esteemed and multidisciplinary journal.
Since joining ULAB in January 2016, I have been teaching both applied and theoretical computing courses, fostering active learning among students. At the department level, I undertake diverse responsibilities, including student supervision, counseling for co-curricular activities, research support, and active involvement in department committees. As the coordinator of ULAB’s Office of Faculty Research, I contribute to the growth of the university’s research infrastructure. I am honored to serve as the Branch Counselor for the IEEE ULAB Student Branch since Fall 2017.
Currently, I am involved in multiple research projects, including a European Union-funded endeavor, with a strong focus on Wireless Communications, Intelligent Systems, and Digital Learning Technologies. These projects hold great potential for advancing the field.
Furthermore, during this period, my fellow researchers and I have filed a patent. As an active contributor to the academic community, I hold memberships in organizing and technical committees of upcoming international conferences. Additionally, I continue my role as an associate editor for IEEE Access®, an ISI indexed journal published by IEEE.
Beyond my professional commitments, I cherish spending quality time with my two daughters (aged 3 and 6) and my family. During leisure moments, I enjoy surfing the web and playing table tennis.
With my passion for research, I strive to be at the forefront of communication research and development in Bangladesh.
